Welcome to Authentic Notary LLC, owned and operated by Juliette Torres in New York. Utilizing our notary services constitutes agreement to these terms and conditions.

Notary Services

Authentic Notary LLC offers a range of notarial services as allowed under New York state law, including witnessing signatures, administering oaths, and other lawful acts.

Requirements for Notarization

a. Identity Verification: Clients must present valid, non-expired, government-issued photo ID. b. Voluntary Participation: Signers affirm they are signing of their own free will, without duress. c. Understanding of Documents: The signer is responsible for document content. The notary acts as a witness only and does not provide legal advice.

Operational Procedures

a. Notary Assignment: Clients will be matched with vetted and trained notaries. b. Digital Platform Use: Services are facilitated through an integrated digital platform, including document upload, payment, and appointment scheduling. c. Payment: Services require payment in advance through designated methods (Zelle, checks, Lox Pay).

Website Use

a. User Journey: Clients and notaries use the website for service selection, appointment booking, and document management. b. Data Handling: Client information is confidential and will not be disclosed unless required by law.

Service Fees and Notary Compensation

a. Pricing: Services are priced according to type and urgency. Notaries are not privy to client pricing details. b. Notary Payment: Notaries are compensated as per the pre-defined schedule and rates.

Appointment Policy

a. Scheduling: Appointments should be scheduled in advance. Authentic Notary LLC reserves the right to refuse service for non-compliance or disruptive behavior. b. Cancellation: Cancellations and rescheduling policies will be clearly communicated during the booking process.

Disclaimer for Payments

When making a payment for notary services, clients must adhere to the following:

1. Government-Issued ID: All signers must present a valid, non-expired government-issued photo ID or passport.
2. Presence of All Signers: All individuals being notarized or acting as witnesses must be present at the time of notarization.
3. Punctuality and Location: Clients must be on time and at the location selected for the notarization.
4. Refund Policy: Failure to meet these conditions will result in no full refund. A partial refund may be considered, subject to Authentic Notary LLC’s discretion.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling: Clients are required to cancel or reschedule before the appointment day and time. Failure to do so may result in a partial or no refund. If sufficient notice is given, the payment may be transferred to the new appointment date and time.

Limitation of Liability

a. Limitation of Liability: Authentic Notary LLC and Juliette Torres are not liable for damages arising from misunderstandings or misinterpretations of notarized documents. b. Legal Disclaimer: Juliette Torres is not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

Authentic Notary LLC reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
